Ceramic Global Business Director
The Ceramic Global Business Director is responsible for the overall global strategic, commercial, and financial performance of a business, product line, or market segment. The role develops and executes growth strategies, drives profitability, aligns cross-functional resources, and ensures the business achieves its revenue, margin, and operational objectives. The Ceramic Global Business Director serves as the primary link between customers, sales, operations, technology, supply chain, and finance to translate market opportunities into sustainable business growth. This role has a strong focus on market strategy, customer engagement, P&L ownership, product portfolio management, and cross functional leadership.
Responsibilities
Business Strategy & Growth
- Develop and execute short and long-term business strategies.
- Identify and prioritize growth opportunities across existing and emerging markets.
- Evaluate market trends, competitive dynamics, customer needs, and technology developments.
- Lead annual strategic planning and long-range business planning processes.
Commercial Leadership
- Own revenue, bookings, profitability, and market share objectives.
- Drive pricing, commercial excellence, and customer engagement strategies.
- Support key customer relationships and strategic account development.
- Lead forecasting, pipeline management, and demand planning activities.
Financial Management
- Manage business P&L performance.
- Develop annual budgets and operating plans.
- Monitor business KPIs and implement corrective actions when necessary.
- Drive margin expansion and return-on-investment initiatives.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Coordinate efforts across sales, marketing, operations, supply chain, engineering, quality, and finance.
- Lead business reviews and performance management processes.
- Ensure alignment of resources to business priorities.
- Drive accountability and execution throughout the organization.
Product & Portfolio Management
- Guide product portfolio strategy and lifecycle management.
- Prioritize new product investments and commercialization efforts.
- Support product roadmap development based on customer and market requirements.
- Lead business case development for new opportunities.
Operational Excellence
- Identify and execute initiatives that improve customer satisfaction, delivery performance, productivity, and profitability.
- Support inventory, capacity, and supply chain optimization decisions.
- Manage business risks and develop mitigation strategies.
People Leadership and Talent Development
- Builds and leads high-performing global teams by fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, engagement, and continuous improvement.
- Develops organizational capability through coaching, mentoring, succession planning, and targeted talent development initiatives.
- Attracts, retains, and develops diverse talent to meet current and future business needs.
- Establishes clear performance expectations and provides ongoing feedback to drive individual and team effectiveness.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Materials Science, Marketing, Finance, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in business management, product management, marketing, sales, operations, or general management.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or advanced technical degree.
- Experience in semiconductor, advanced materials, specialty chemicals, electronics, or industrial manufacturing.
- Experience managing global customers and international operations.
- Knowledge of pricing strategy, product management, and market development.
- Experience or background in engineering or prior technical roles.
