Are you seeking a new career as a Ceramic Core Engineer role specifically in Aerospace Investment Casting? Could you be the primary technical authority for non-metallic materials and manufacturing processes used to produce precision internal cooling passages and hollow features in aerospace investment castings?

At Doncasters we have an exciting opportunity for a Process Engineer to join our team in Oxford, AL/ Auburn, AL (flexibility).

The working hours/salary for this role are Monday through Friday 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM with some flexibility.

The Role

The Ceramic Core Engineer serves as the primary technical authority for non-metallic materials and manufacturing processes used to produce precision internal cooling passages and hollow features in aerospace investment castings. Located on-site at our Oxford, Alabama, aerospace casting facility, this wide-reaching role connects advanced material science and high-volume manufacturing. The engineer is responsible for developing a "green field" core manufacturing operation, from core body material development through forming and thermal processing to finishing and strengthening. During development and production, the engineer manages optimizing ceramic core manufacturing yields, ensuring fixed process adherence & process control, and solving structural or dimensional defects to secure a stable product flow of high-quality components to the downstream wax and casting operations. This position reports to the facility engineering manager / director.
