Radiology Tech I (Cath Lab)

Salary Range: $37.00 - $51.66 per hour

Location: St Clare's Denville Hospital, Denville, NJPosition Type: Full Time, Days

 

The Cardiovascular Technologist (Cath Lab) assists physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures by performing scrub, circulating, and monitoring duties. This role prepares procedure rooms, monitors physiologic and hemodynamic data, maintains equipment and supplies, and supports safe, efficient patient care in accordance with departmental policies and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities
  • Assists physicians during invasive cardiovascular procedures by performing scrub, circulating, and monitoring functions.
  • Monitors physiologic and hemodynamic data throughout procedures.
  • Prepares procedure rooms, equipment, instruments, and supplies.
  • Maintains sterile technique and complies with infection prevention and radiation safety standards.
  • Assists with patient preparation, positioning, and post-procedure care.
  • Maintains inventory and par levels for equipment and supplies.
  • Participates in quality improvement, performance improvement, and patient safety initiatives.
  • Assists with orientation and training of new staff.
  • Completes accurate procedural documentation and performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING  1. ARRT-R and license as required by State or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) required. 2. Previous experience in a Cardiovascular Lab; preferred. 3. Cardiovascular technologist training program with emphasis in invasive cardiology and hemodynamic monitoring preferred. 4. BCLS (AHA) required upon hire and maintain current. 5. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS); required within 30 days of hire. 6. Proficient computer skills.
