Master's Degree as Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C)
Current Florida license (or ability to obtain)
National board certification (ACNP preferred for NPs)
1-2 years of CVICU, cardiothoracic, or critical care APP experience preferred
Current ACLS and BLS certifications
Responsibilities
Manage post-operative cardiac patients including CABG and valve replacement procedures
Perform assessments and develop treatment plans for critically ill patients
Order and interpret diagnostic tests
Collaborate with cardiothoracic surgeons and other healthcare professionals
Perform procedures such as central line placement and intubation as credentialed
Contribute to a multidisciplinary team approach to patient care
Support growth in advanced cardiac critical care

Our Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) is a high-acuity, fast-paced environment caring for patients after advanced cardiac and thoracic procedures. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our dynamic team.
Position Highlights:
Block schedule: 7 days on / 7 days off, day shifts only (6a-6p) for excellent work-life balance.
Manage post-operative cardiac patients including CABG, valve replacement, TAVR, Mechanical Circulatory Support (ECMO/Impella)
Perform assessments, order/interp diagnostics, and develop treatment plans for critically ill patients.
Collaborate with cardiothoracic surgeons, intensivists, and a multidisciplinary team.
Procedures may include central line placement, arterial line placement, intubation, dialysis line placement, and other bedside interventions (as credentialed).
