This full-time associate role, beginning on
June 28, 2027, has a set annual gross base salary of

Analytics and Modeling Program offers you an opportunity to develop analytical skills through in-depth technical and business training, and to ultimately leverage those skills and quantitative expertise to power intelligent decisions for managing the business, financial reporting, and risk control.
THE TRAINING PROGRAMYou will participate in a 10-week seminar-style training designed to strengthen your mortgage industry knowledge and quantitative analytics capabilities. Business courses provide comprehensive coverage of key business areas, such as Underwriting and Pricing, Capital Markets, Loss Mitigation, and Risk Management, whereas technical courses cover foundational Statistics, SQL, R, and Python.
Through hands-on experience and interaction with the analytics teams during the training, you will gain a strong understanding of Fannie Mae's business and have a quick start on your technical capability.
After training completion, you will be assigned to an analytics-focused team within Fannie Mae based on business needs, program demand, and candidate skills and interests. Placement areas vary by year and may include analytics teams in Single-Family, Finance, Enterprise Risk, or AI Accelerator.
Depending on your team placement, you may contribute to work such as:
- Applying advanced analytics, machine learning, and econometric techniques to solve complex business problems and support informed decisions
- Creating intuitive, self-service analytics tools that make insights easier to access and understand
- Crafting analytical narratives using effective data visualization techniques
- Building models that forecast loan performance, property values, home prices, and other factors critical to financial and regulatory reporting
- Conducting sensitivity and scenario analyses to assess the potential financial and capital impacts of changing market conditions, key assumptions, and alternative strategic initiatives

THE EXPERIENCE YOU BRING TO THE TEAMMinimum Qualifications - Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
- Academic achievement (preferred GPA of 3.3 or higher)
- Bachelor's or Master's degree obtained between December 2026 and Spring 2027
- Shows curiosity and adaptability in learning and responsibly applying new technologies, including artificial intelligence, to reimagine how we work.
Preferred Qualifications - Degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, or Economics with a quantitative focus
- Exposure to programming languages such as R, Python, and SQL
- Strong analytical background
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities and the ability to contribute to a team atmosphere
- Demonstrated research and numerical problem-solving skills
- Self-starter with a strong business acumen and a results-focused mindset
- Superior communication skills, both oral and written
- Fluency and aptitude with technology applications

For most roles, employees are expected to work onsite on a regular basis at their designated office location. In-office work cadence is determined by your manager. Proximity within a reasonable commute to your designated office location is preferred unless the job is noted as open to remote.
The hiring range for this role is set forth below. Final salaries will generally vary within that range based on factors that include but are not limited to, skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and other relevant qualifications.
