The Role:

Step into a high-impact CAD Engineering role where you'll shape the automation backbone of Cirrus Logic's cutting-edge silicon development. As a CAD Engineer, you'll build and refine the software that powers our RTL Quality Flow-directly enabling world-class mixed-signal and digital design teams to move faster, smarter, and with precision

What You'll Own & Create

This isn't a maintenance job-this is where you architect smarter workflows, champion new design methodologies, and elevate how an entire organization designs silicon.

You will:
  • Engineer the automation layer of the RTL Quality Flow-building software that seamlessly launches and orchestrates vendor EDA tools.
  • Empower digital and mixed-signal teams by supporting and evolving CAD tools and methodology flows for top-tier verification.
  • Automate next-gen design & verification pipelines, helping teams eliminate friction and focus on innovation.
  • Partner with leading EDA vendors to influence tool improvements, fix issues, and shape the future of RTL design flows.
  • Drive alignment across business units to define best-in-class design methodologies used globally within the company.
  • Guarantee correctness and reliability by validating CAD flows, ensuring smooth and accurate signoff every time.
  • Collaborate closely with design & technology teams to set the criteria that determine when a design is truly ready to move forward.

Skills You'll Bring to the Team

Your Background
  • Advanced engineering foundation:
    Master's degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Computer Engineering (or related field) with ~5+ years of experience; OR a Bachelor's with ~7+ years; OR a PhD with ~3+ years.

Your Technical Skillset
  • EDA automation expertise: At least 3 years of hands-on experience automating Electronic Design Automation (EDA) tools using SKILL, Lisp, TCL, or similar APIs.
  • Flow-builder mindset: 3+ years building custom EDA automation flows that integrate tools from Cadence, Synopsys, Real Intent, and more-designing smarter workflows and enabling new tool capabilities.
  • Software-meets-semiconductor skillset:3+ years applying advanced software development skills to analyze tool behavior, synthesize results, and generate clean, user-friendly documentation that empowers design teams.
