Are you an experienced C++ / C# developer who thrives on solving complex challenges involving real-time systems, low latency, multithreading, parallel computing and distributed architectures?
CGI is looking for a C# / C++ Developer - Real-Time Systems Expert to help design, optimize and modernize mission-critical technology platforms supporting pricing, risk calculation and financial markets activities within a major banking environment.
You will work in a technology ecosystem where performance, scalability, resilience and speed matter. These platforms process significant volumes of data and transactions every day while supporting a broad range of users, including Front Office teams, quantitative risk analysts and risk managers.
Your challenge: build and optimize systems capable of processing increasing volumes of transactions and calculations while meeting demanding performance and regulatory requirements.
Work model: Hybrid - 3 days in the office after the first 2 months

Your future duties and responsibilities: As a senior C++ / C# expert, you will play a key role in the evolution and modernization of critical real-time and distributed computing platforms.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Design, develop and enhance high-performance services using C++, C# and .NET Core.
• Develop and optimize real-time and low-latency C++ components.
• Design and optimize parallel algorithms for multicore architectures.
• Improve the performance and scalability of multithreaded applications.
• Contribute to the architecture and evolution of high-performance distributed systems.
• Perform profiling, monitoring, troubleshooting and performance optimization.
• Investigate complex performance issues and provide production support for mission-critical systems.
• Help redesign and modernize the real-time infrastructure and grid-oriented components.
• Contribute to the migration and evolution of computing workloads toward ArmoniK and cloud-based architectures.
• Participate in cloud bursting, cloud-native and Kubernetes initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with Front Office teams, quantitative analysts, risk teams and technology specialists.
• Contribute to the technology roadmap and architectural governance.
• Promote software engineering best practices related to code quality, performance, observability, scalability and resilience.

• Strong hands-on experience with C++ and C# / .NET Core development.
• Proven expertise in real-time and low-latency C++ software development.
• Strong knowledge of multithreading, concurrency and parallel programming.
• Experience designing and optimizing parallel algorithms for multicore architectures.
• Strong experience developing high-performance distributed systems.
• Proven expertise in profiling, monitoring and performance optimization.
• Experience supporting and troubleshooting complex, production-critical systems.
• Strong software design and development practices.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of complex technical challenges.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Strong interest in emerging technologies and modern software engineering practices.
Previous experience with electronic markets, pricing, market making, trading platforms or capital markets technology is highly desirable.

CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $60,000-$115,000. This role is an existing vacancy.
