Buyer/Production Planner to join our team in
Springfield, Massachusetts.
The salary range for this role is $80,000-$86,000 annually.The RoleAs
Buyer/Production Planner, you will play a key role in coordinating purchasing, material availability, inventory, and production requirements to support the Springfield operation. You will develop and maintain production schedules, manage work-order priorities, and work closely with Operations to ensure customer demand, material availability, capacity, and delivery requirements remain aligned.
You will also manage purchasing activities, including purchase orders, supplier communication, delivery commitments, expediting materials, and resolving shortages or discrepancies. Using ERP/MRP systems and production data, you will monitor inventory and material requirements, identify potential constraints, and help address issues before they impact production or customer delivery.
The role requires close collaboration across Operations, Quality, Finance, Commercial, and other functions to maintain accurate information and support changing business priorities. As part of our Springfield front-office team, the position will also support general front-office and administrative responsibilities as needed.

- Experience in purchasing, production planning, materials planning, supply chain, or a related role within manufacturing
- Experience developing and managing production schedules and work-order priorities
- Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems, purchase orders, inventory, and material planning
- Experience managing supplier delivery commitments and expediting materials when necessary
- The ability to balance customer demand, material availability, production capacity, and delivery requirements
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve shortages, discrepancies, scheduling conflicts, and production bottlenecks
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
- The ability to manage changing priorities and collaborate effectively across multiple functions
- A willingness to support front-office and administrative responsibilities as part of the Springfield team
