Summary

Join our high impact Claims Analytics team where your work will shape data driven decisions across the enterprise.

Business Intelligence Analysts develop impactful visualizations and reports for non-technical audiences and supports ad hoc reporting needs. Collaborates with subject matter experts to translate business requirements into well-documented deliverables and provides meaningful data to guide decision-making. Demonstrates proficiency in data extraction, validation, and manipulation to ensure accuracy and quality.

This position requires working hybrid on site at either our Webster or Boston office locations. We are not considering remote candidates for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Creates more complex visualizations and/or reports tailored for consumption by a non-technical audience.
  • Assists in developing and distributing ad hoc reporting.
  • Provides support in meetings to translate business needs into clearly defined, well-documented, high-quality requirements to support reporting and visualization projects.
  • Demonstrates a basic-to-intermediate understanding of the fundamentals of data extraction, validation, and manipulation.
  • Supports colleagues with a variety of tasks and projects to meet deadlines.
  • Collaborates with subject matter experts to effectively provide meaningful and valuable data to assist in executive decision-making.
  • Exercises discretion and applies critical thinking relative to analysis, planning, and/or implementation of critical business initiatives.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or professional level of knowledge in a specialized field, or equivalent, related experience
  • 2-4 years' experience or equivalent, related knowledge in analytics, reporting or data roles.
  • Prior experience within Claims and Insurance environments strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in SQL for querying, data analysis and dataset development.
  • Basic to intermediate Python skills required for analytics, automation or modeling tasks.


Pay Transparency: The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by several factors including skills, experience, education, certifications, and location. Some roles at Mapfre are eligible for commission and/or bonus earnings, in addition to salary, calculated based upon factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.

Salary Range: $77,700 - $110,900
