Job Description Summary:
The Business Development Officer will drive firm growth by sourcing high-net-worth clients, building referral networks, and executing sales strategies. The person plays a crucial role in furthering the NorthCoast brand by delivering an outstanding client experience and helping to drive growth and success for the firm within the firm's custodial referral network programs.

Job Description:

Primary Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage a pipeline of prospective high-net-worth individuals, families, financial intermediaries, and institutional relationships.
  • Conduct proactive outreach to prospects, Financial Consultants, advisors, centers of influence, and strategic partners.
  • Build and nurture referral relationships with centers of influence, strategic partners, and existing clients.
  • Engage with prospective clients to understand their needs and communicate NorthCoast's wealth management and investment capabilities.
  • Work with Financial Consultants and Wealth Advisors to move opportunities from initial introduction through discovery, proposal, and conversion.
  • Present investment and wealth management solutions clearly and effectively to prospects and partners.
  • Maintain disciplined CRM activity, pipeline management, follow-ups, and reporting.
  • Analyze business-development activity and pipeline metrics to identify priorities, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Participate in prospect meetings, conferences, client events, marketing initiatives, and other business-development activities.


Qualifications
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in business development, relationship management, wealth management, investment management, or financial services.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop relationships, generate opportunities, and manage a sales pipeline.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong understanding of investment management and wealth management concepts; experience with high-net-worth clients, financial advisors, referral networks, or institutional investors preferred.
  • Series 65 or other appropriate industry registration preferred; willingness to obtain required licensing after hire.
  • CFP®, CFA®, CPA, or other relevant designation is a plus.
  • Familiarity with SMA strategies including portfolio diversification, concentrated equity positions, tax efficiency, income generation, risk management, and broader wealth-planning objectives.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with CRM systems; Salesforce preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, collaborative, and comfortable operating in a dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to travel as needed for prospect meetings, client events, conferences, and relationship development.


This position is an exempt position. The annualized base pay range for this role is expected to be around $150,000 + uncapped commission schedule. Actual base pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, subject matter expertise, geographic location where work will be performed, and the applicant's skill set. The base pay is just one component of the total compensation package. Other rewards may include an annual cash bonus and a comprehensive benefits package, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401(k).
