Full Job Description
THE ROLE

We are looking for a Business Development Manager, Software Engineering Services, based in the United States, to strengthen and grow Critical Software and IQ Inc's presence in the market.

This is a role for someone who knows the medical devices world inside out and is ready to build real, lasting relationships rather than chase quick wins. Think about long sales cycles, technical conversations, and partnerships that actually go somewhere.

Reporting directly to IQ Inc.'s CEO, you won't just execute a strategy; you'll help shape it.

We are interested in every qualified candidate who is eligible to work in the United States. However, we cannot sponsor visas.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Drive business development for the Medical Devices domain in the US, aligned with Critical Software/IQ's broader strategy, going after new business from established medical device and healthcare technology companies to venture-backed startups
  • Track the medical devices' ecosystem (tracking OEMs, scale-ups, technology partners, and how the regulatory landscape shifts) to spot where Critical/IQ's safety-critical, regulated software expertise genuinely stands out
  • Build trust with the people who matter, from C-Level and executive stakeholders to engineering and quality leads.
  • Own consultative sales cycles start to finish: discovery, positioning, proposal, negotiation, close and after sales
  • Partner closely with engineering and delivery teams to build proposals that are technically credible, not just polished
  • Bring structure to how we sell, putting real process, methodology, and forecasting in place, and contribute to strategic account planning and long-term account growth initiatives, providing regular updates and forecasts to senior management
  • Represent Critical Software/IQ Inc. in customer meetings, industry events, and relevant medical technology forums

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in Business Development, ideally within Medical Devices, Digital Health, or other regulated technology environments
  • Established Network of Industry contacts
  • Experience selling engineering services or complex technology solutions, not off-the-shelf products
  • Solid understanding of regulated medical software development at a business and customer-dialogue level; familiarity with frameworks such as FDA pathways, IEC 62304, or ISO 13485 is a plus
  • Expertise in prospecting, outbound sales, and lead generation
  • A relationship-driven mindset, comfortable engaging with senior/C-Level, technical, and quality stakeholders
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex technical topics into clear customer value
  • Structured, resilient, and self-driven, with a strong sense of ownership over opportunities and accounts
  • Willingness to travel within the US and internationally, as required
  • Comfortable using AI tools to support and scale business development activities

HOW YOU CAN INSPIRE
  • You adapt fast and turn sharp, critical thinking into good decisions for the project
  • You are genuinely curious and challenge what needs to change and make bold calls
  • You see AI as the biggest shift of this generation and you want to be part of shaping it
  • When there is no map, you start drawing one rather than waiting for someone else to
