Full Job Description
The Business Analyst will support our team by documenting existing systems and business processes and by creating, organizing, and categorizing Product Backlog Items (PBI's). This role serves as a bridge between stakeholders and delivery teams, ensuring that current-state system knowledge is accurately captured and that backlog items are structured in a way that supports efficient planning, development, testing, and operational readiness.
• Documents existing applications, business processes, interfaces, data flows, and operational procedures to establish and maintain current-state understanding.
• Works with stakeholders and technical teams to analyze how systems function today, identify gaps, clarify impacts, and capture business and operational requirements.
• Supports decomposition of work into manageable backlog items and develops supporting acceptance criteria and relevant documentation.
• Maintains traceability between system documentation, stakeholder needs, and backlog content, while incorporating security, support, and compliance considerations relevant to a DevSecOps environment.
• Analyzes system behavior, dependencies, pain points, and operational impacts.
• Creates, updates, and categorizes Product Backlog Items (PBI) in required DevOps tools, ensuring work items are complete, clearly written, and aligned to team standards.
• Organizes backlog items by agreed classifications such as enhancement, defect, technical debt, support, and security work.
• Breaks down requests into clear, actionable backlog items with supporting detail and acceptance criteria.
• Collaborates with business, technical, operations, and security stakeholders to validate documentation and backlog accuracy.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree OR equivalent related experience.
  • At least 5 (five) years of experience working as a business analyst/or similar position.
  • Ability to pass background investigation at the level of Public Trust.
