Full Job Description
You will enjoy working with one of the richest datasets in the world and advanced technology. You will have the ability to see your insights drive the creation of real tools and features for our customers and the thousands of merchants participating in our Marketplace.

The ideal candidate will have passion and experience analyzing data and using that analysis to drive key insights and recommendations. As a Business Analyst, you will also build reports and metrics, drive ad hoc analysis, and communicate insights to key stakeholders. You will not only execute on the required skills but also be able to influence, educate, and drive results in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.

You will also have the opportunity to contribute to the development of policies, processes, and tools to address seller-facing challenges in collaboration with teams across Amazon. This is an opportunity that requires a critical thinker with strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills. At the core of the position is a passion for protecting Amazon's reputation and the customer experience and trust. In this role you will:

- Build and maintain recurring metrics and reports.

- Complete ad hoc data retrieval and analysis using relational databases, Excel, and other data management systems.

- Design and implement reporting solutions enabling stakeholders to manage the business and make effective decisions.

- Monitor existing metrics as well as develop and propose new metrics, working with a variety of business stakeholders.

- Communicate insights to key stakeholders.

- Dive deep to solve unstructured and ambiguous problems, including uncovering issues that can influence the product and policy roadmap.

Key job responsibilities

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 1+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent

- Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights

- Experience with SQL or ETL

- 2+ years of experience writing complex Excel VBA macros

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience using very large datasets

- Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a Master's degree in Business, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Data Engineering, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Mathematics, Machine Learning, Science, Statistics, or Symbolic Systems

- Demonstrated experience leveraging generative AI tools to enhance workflow efficiency and productivity, with the ability to craft effective prompts and critically evaluate AI-generated outputs in a professional setting

- Experience identifying opportunities to integrate AI solutions into products and services to drive business value

- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, QuickSight, Power BI, or similar tools

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
