The ability to travel to/from includes, but is not limited to, UW Medical Center-Montlake and Northwest Campuses, Harborview Medical Center, and other facilities or locations which are affiliated with UW Medicine
POSITION HIGHLIGHTS
In support of the Enterprise Revenue Cycle Intelligent Automation Program and under the supervision of ERC Project Director, this position will closely collaborate with ERC departments and IT Services to design, develop, and deliver intelligent automation solutions that improve revenue cycle operations and/or outcomes where possible
DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
UW Medicine Enterprise Revenue Cycle (ERC) is made up of numerous shared services departments and is accountable for the Revenue Cycle functions of University of Washington Medical Center (Montlake and Northwest Campuses) and Harborview Medical Center with close collaboration with Faculty Practice Plan Services (FPPS).
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify automation/AI opportunities through analysis
- Provide consistent and timely automation/AI deliverables using thorough analysis and thoughtful application of technologies
- Work with other analysts, developers, customers, and vendors to elicit, analyze and document requirements
- Research, troubleshoot and perform detailed analysis on customer inquiries and anomalies to support issue resolution and decision making
- Ensure approved intelligent automation solutions are completed in a timely manner and to the satisfaction of the customers.
- Coordinate with all resources needed to accomplish the request either directly or through delegation
- Create and maintain a strong, positive, service-oriented relationship with internal and external stakeholders, including meeting Service Level Agreements
- Unit test all changes associated with automation projects
- Execute functional and integrated test scripts, tracking defects and status to ensure quality automation deliverables.
- Test all scenarios at the end-to-end solution level
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree in a health-care oriented profession, a business-related field, or other disciplines that demonstrate analytical or communications abilities
- 4+ years recent healthcare/IT experience, including:
- 2+ years of healthcare process improvement and/or automation/AI delivery experience.
- Ability to complete training and obtain certification for new technologies.
- Experience with Epic, working with Revenue Cycle modules.
- Demonstrated experience creating effective solutions for customers, with experience developing ongoing customer relationships and anticipating customer needs.
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex business requirements into design specifications, articulate alternatives, follow technical change control processes, and maintain workflow and technical implementation documentation.
- Above average proficiency in the use of desktop computers and Office applications.
- Above average proficiency in database structures, data definitions and data relationships.
- Familiarity with all phases of software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Experience working with and facilitating work groups in an application development or support setting.
- Experience in identifying critical test cases and troubleshooting workflow and technical issues.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for stated requirements
Compensation, Benefits and Position Details
Pay Range Minimum:
$94,800.00 annual
Pay Range Maximum:
$129,600.00 annual
