Full Job Description
The Business Analyst serves as the primary liaison between institutional stakeholders, CampusWorks, and technology partners to ensure the effective utilization, optimization, and continuous improvement of the institution's Ellucian Colleague ERP™ and Ellucian CRM platform.

This role is dedicated to a single higher education client and works closely with business units across Enrollment Management, Student Services, Finance, Human Resources, Advancement, and Academic Affairs. The Business Analyst will gather requirements, analyze business processes, document solutions, support system enhancements, and coordinate with multiple CampusWorks Centers of Excellence (CoEs) including Application Services, Reporting & Analytics, Infrastructure, Information Security, Project Management, and Help Desk teams.

This position is primarily on-site at the client location and serves as a trusted advisor to campus stakeholders while leveraging the expertise of centralized service teams.

Responsibilities:

Business Analysis & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Serve as the primary business analyst supporting the institution's Colleague ERP™ and Ellucian CRM environment.
  • Build strong relationships with campus stakeholders to understand operational challenges and strategic objectives.
  • Facilitate requirements gathering sessions, workshops, interviews, and process reviews.
  • Translate business requirements into functional specifications and actionable work items.
  • Document current-state and future-state business processes.
  • Identify opportunities for process automation, efficiency improvements, and enhanced user experiences.
  • Act as a liaison between campus departments and technical delivery teams.

Colleague ERP™ Functional Support
  • Support business processes across key Colleague ERP™ modules including:
    • Student
    • Financial Aid
    • Finance
    • Human Resources
    • Advancement
  • Analyze system configuration and recommend improvements aligned with institutional goals.
  • Assist departments with testing, validation, and deployment of ERP enhancements.
  • Support data integrity initiatives and business process standardization efforts.
  • Participate in ERP upgrade planning and implementation activities.

Ellucian CRM Support
  • Support CRM workflows related to recruitment, admissions, communication, and student engagement.
  • Partner with Enrollment and Admissions teams to optimize CRM processes and campaigns.
  • Analyze user requirements and recommend CRM enhancements.
  • Support testing and deployment of new CRM functionality.
  • Assist with integration requirements between CRM and Colleague ERP™ environments.

Project & Change Management
  • Participate in application enhancement projects and strategic initiatives.
  • Support project planning, scope definition, testing, deployment, and user adoption activities.
  • Assist with change management and communication efforts related to system enhancements.
  • Maintain project documentation and business process artifacts.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Coordinate with CampusWorks Centers of Excellence to resolve issues and implement solutions.
  • Work closely with:
    • Application Services CoE
    • Business Intelligence & Reporting CoE
    • Infrastructure CoE
    • Information Security CoE
    • PMO/Project Services
    • Help Desk CoE
  • Facilitate communication between client stakeholders and technical teams.
  • Escalate issues and risks appropriately while ensuring timely resolution.


Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Higher Education Administration, or related field. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • 3+ years of experience in business intelligence, reporting, analytics, or ERP support.
  • Experience with Ellucian Colleague ERP™.
  • Experience with Ellucian CRM Recruit or other higher education CRM platforms.
  • Experience gathering and documenting business requirements.
  • Experience facilitating meetings and stakeholder discussions.
  • Experience supporting ERP or CRM platforms.
  • Strong business process analysis and documentation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into business language.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience creating:
    • Business requirements documents
    • Process maps
    • Functional specifications
    • Test plans and test scripts
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with higher education enrollment, student, finance, or HR business processes.
  • Experience with reporting tools such as Informer, Power BI, or similar analytics platforms.
  • Knowledge of system integrations, APIs, and data workflows.
  • Experience working within a managed services or consulting environment.


$85,000 - $91,200 a year

The estimated base salary range for this job is $85,000-$91,200/year. The range represents a good faith estimate of the range that CampusWorks reasonably expects to pay for this job at the time of the job posting. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; required travel; and other business, contractual, and organizational needs.

This job is also eligible to participate in CampusWorks' annual profit-sharing program, which reflects CampusWorks' pay for performance philosophy. The job is also eligible to participate in CampusWorks' generous benefit offerings, which include medical, dental and vision coverage, 401k retirement plan, and other health and wellness plans.

The salary range information provided is in accordance with applicable state and local laws regarding salary transparency that are currently in effect and may be implemented in the future.
