Qualifications

• 5-8 years as an IT business systems analyst in financial services
• 3+ years of experience in data analysis and mapping
• Proficiency with SQL (Microsoft SQL Server and Sybase)
• Familiarity with financial vendor data (Bloomberg, Reuters, etc.)
• Experience in workflow analysis and Data Mart/Data Warehouse is a plus
• Strong skills in Visio and MS Office applications
• Excellent understanding of system development methodologies and database principles
• Proven interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Responsibilities

• Conduct analysis, data validation, and requirements gathering
• Identify business workflow problems and opportunities for improvement
• Document findings to enhance data quality knowledgebase
• Perform business and systems analysis including data mapping and data conversion
• Research and track business issues and software defects
• Participate in the weekly managed release cycle
• Manage project tasks while updating stakeholders
• Conduct meetings and foster technical dialogue with business users
