Full Job Description
Individual contributor with a high level of business, technical, and insurance expertise who supports the Small Business Technology team in delivering strategic modernization, operational improvement, and digital enablement initiatives. Works across business, technology, underwriting, product, actuarial, operations, and external partners to analyze complex processes, define business and system requirements, manage and prioritize work, and translate business needs into executable solutions. Responsibilities include supporting CNA’s agent-facing portal and policy administration modernization, P&C Programs initiatives, digital and API partner integrations, rating and underwriting enhancements, production issue resolution, process controls, vendor or third-party technology relationships, and identifying, developing, deploying, and managing AI agents and intelligent automation solutions that improve operational efficiency, decision-making, and user experiences. JOB DESCRIPTION: Essential Duties & Responsibilities Performs a combination of duties in accordance with departmental guidelines: Senior technical analyst and lead for projects in functional area. Works collaboratively with stakeholders and plans and conducts working sessions to elicit and review business requirements as approved by senior management. Independently performs necessary research to fully understand the business issues, develop possible solutions and to support development of innovative, cost effective solutions, and recommends most viable business solutions to management for approval. Analyzes, plans, conducts and/or prepares plans or procedures that provide operational and/or technical support to business operations to achieve specific objectives. Maintains an ongoing interface with various organizational and regional groups in areas such as decision analysis, technical needs, planning and execution. Determines best practices and recommends improvements to current practices. Develops recommendations to solve problems and issues related to business operations and communicates with other departments as necessary. Serves as a primary liaison for business issues and operations. Ensures appropriate resources are assigned to project teams, manages resources and teams, and reviews and provides input on performance of team members as appropriate. Acts as technical resource on best practices for assigned business/functional areas. Continuously learns new trends and developments within functional area of expertise and the insurance industry. May perform additional duties as assigned. Reporting Relationship Typically Director or above. Skills, Knowledge & Abilities Knowledge of insurance technology platforms, policy administration systems, digital distribution, and modernization initiatives. Ability to analyze business processes and implement solutions that improve efficiency, accuracy, and user experience. Knowledge of production support, issue resolution, testing, and post-implementation validation. In-depth knowledge of project management and Scaled Agile methodologies. Expert knowledge of change management principles and practices. Strong verbal and written communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive complex initiatives with minimal direction. Ability to evaluate emerging technologies, including agentic AI, and implement solutions that improve business outcomes and operational effectiveness. Education & Experience 1. In District of Columbia,California, Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois,Maryland, Massachusetts, New York and Washington, the national base pay range for this job level is $72,000 to $141,000 annually. Salary determinations are based on various factors, including but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location.
