The Town of Jackson is seeking a qualified individual with demonstrated abilities in residential and commercial building inspection, code compliance, plans examination, permit review and issuance, documentation associated with those functions, as well as knowledge of methods of construction and construction management.

The ideal candidate brings:
• 1-2 years building inspection experience plus 3 years related experience in construction trades.
• High School/GED.
• Demonstrated customer service skills.
• Permit and database skills.
• Strong values orientation.
• Local government experience.
• ICC Certifications (preferred).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
