JOB SUMMARY: An ATS Group Operations Supervisor/Manager is responsible for the development and leadership of a team of Project Engineers and Technicians. It is anticipated that this position will be 25-40% supervision, while performing actual project work for the balance of the time. Supervisors/Managers are able to design, and engineer control system hardware and software programming based on project requirements and provide analysis of building control and mechanical system performance as a complete systems and campus level. This is an exempt position.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Control System Design and Programming
- Ensure proper engineering, start up, commissioning, closeout of assigned projects
- Assist in development/management of department initiatives
- Overall fiscal responsibility of assigned projects
- Overall labor planning for group
- Ensure assigned projects are completed on time and within budget
- Participate in quarterly goal reviews with direct reports
- Participate in performance appraisals
- Training/development plans for individual direct reports
SKILLS AND ABILITIES: - Strong communication skills
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Experience with electronics and basic electrical circuits
- Knowledge of DDC Control Theory and Applications
- Ability to work independently and unsupervised
- Autocad skills
- Programming skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong interactive and communication skills
POSITION TYPE AND HOURS - Full-time, exempt
- Typical Monday - Friday working hours with flexibility as needed
- Local travel required, up to 30% of the time with occasional out-of-state travel
CREDENTIALS AND EXPERIENCE - AA degree in applied technology and/or undergraduate degree preferred
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Computer programming experience
- Building Mechanical System and Troubleshooting experience
- 5+ years industry experience (minimum)
