Full Job Description
The Role

We're looking for a Brand Manager in Los Angeles to be responsible for owning lead the day-to-day business of the Pabst portfolio (Pabst Blue Ribbon, Pabst Light, and Pabst Innovation Projects) partnering closely with the Brand Director to drive both brand strategy and commercial performance.

This role is equal parts business leader and brand builder. You'll own major portions of the annual business plan, lead integrated marketing initiatives, develop innovation opportunities, partner with Sales to strengthen retail execution, and guide one of America's most iconic beer portfolios into its next chapter.

Success in this role requires someone who enjoys moving between business strategy and creative development. One day you may be presenting annual plans to Sales Leadership, reviewing volume forecasts, or evaluating portfolio performance. The next, you'll be writing a creative brief, reviewing campaign work, evaluating creator partnerships, or launching a new product. We're looking for someone who understands that great marketing only matters when it grows the business.
Why You'll Love It Here

Pabst is a portfolio of iconic American brands with a deep cultural footprint and an appetite to do things differently. This role offers the opportunity to shape how Pabst Blue Ribbon and Pabst Light show up at retail, influence real commercial outcomes, and build programs that matter to sales, retailers, and consumers alike.

Flexibility
Work that fits your life - unlimited vacation, 9 sick days, 10 company holidays, and 2 paid volunteer days.

Great Benefits
Comprehensive healthcare plans, a 401(k) with company match and immediate vesting, paid parental leave, disability coverage, life insurance, and more.

Great People
A casual, high-energy environment where authenticity is celebrated, curiosity is welcomed, and creativity is supported. It's a place where you can show up as yourself, take on meaningful challenges, and help build brands people actually care about.
What You'll Do

Grow the Business
  • Partner with the Brand Director to develop annual business plans that drive sustainable growth across the Pabst portfolio.
  • Own portions of annual forecasting, volume planning, budget management, and business performance tracking.
  • Monitor share, velocity, distribution, profitability, and marketplace performance, translating insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Present business updates, marketing initiatives, and strategic recommendations to leadership, Sales, distributors, retailers, and agency partners.
  • Make informed, data-driven decisions that balance long-term brand health with short-term commercial opportunities.

Build the Brand
  • Lead development of integrated marketing campaigns across retail, digital, experiential, partnerships, PR, and earned media.
  • Write strategic creative briefs and guide creative development from concept through execution.
  • Champion work that feels culturally relevant while remaining true to the brand and aligned with business objectives.
  • Shape how the portfolio shows up across social media, creator partnerships, and digital platforms, ensuring the work connects authentically with consumers.

Lead Innovation
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to identify new product opportunities and develop innovation concepts.
  • Lead concept development, consumer learning, commercialization planning, and product launches.
  • Evaluate post-launch performance and apply learnings to future innovation initiatives.
  • Balance long-term portfolio strategy with near-term commercial opportunities.

Win at Retail
  • Partner closely with Sales to develop retailer strategies, annual selling stories, promotional programs, and activation plans.
  • Develop a deep understanding of shopper behavior, retailer priorities, distributor needs, and channel dynamics.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen distribution, shelving, merchandising, pricing, and in-market execution.
  • Ensure national marketing programs translate into meaningful retail performance.

Lead Execution
  • Drive cross-functional execution across Operations, Finance, Legal, Supply Chain, Sales, and Creative to ensure programs launch successfully.
  • Own timelines, packaging changes, artwork approvals, commercialization milestones, and cross-functional follow-through.
  • Partner with the Brand Director to manage marketing investments and ensure resources are deployed effectively.
  • Remove obstacles, solve problems proactively, and keep initiatives moving from idea to market.

What You'll Bring
  • You have 5-8 years of experience building consumer brands within CPG, beverage, lifestyle or adjacent industries.
  • You think like a business owner, not just a marketer.
  • You understand how consumer insights, creative development, retail execution, and financial performance work together to build enduring brands.
  • You've owned integrated marketing programs while also contributing to annual planning, forecasting, budgeting, or business management.
  • You're fluent in today's marketing landscape, including digital platforms, creator marketing, partnerships, and consumer behavior.
  • You're curious about how great brands develop and have a "forever-learning" mindset.
  • You have experience writing creative briefs and guiding creative development from concept through launch.
  • You're confident presenting recommendations to senior leaders and influencing decisions across multiple functions.
  • You enjoy solving complex business challenges and making informed decisions in fast-moving environments.
  • You're collaborative, accountable, and comfortable leading cross-functional teams without direct authority.
