Job Description
The Systems Engineer serves as the technical integrator across mechanical, electrical, controls, firmware, software, manufacturing, quality, and test engineering disciplines. This role is responsible for defining system architectures, managing requirements, supporting product development, and ensuring CDU products meet customer, regulatory, performance, reliability, and manufacturability requirements throughout the product lifecycle.
The role will include:
- Developing and maintaining system-level architectures for liquid cooling solutions supporting AI, HPC, and hyperscale data center applications
- Translating customer, market, and regulatory requirements into detailed engineering specifications
- Defining system functionality, operating modes, interfaces, and performance requirements
- Allocating requirements across mechanical, electrical, controls, firmware, and software subsystems
- Performing system trade studies to evaluate performance, cost, reliability, efficiency, and manufacturability
- Leading customer requirement reviews and developing compliance, deviation, and exemption matrices
- Supporting technical submittals and managing engineering changes to ensure regional and customer compliance requirements are met
- Capturing, managing, and maintaining customer, regulatory, and internal engineering requirements throughout the development lifecycle
- Establishing requirements traceability from customer needs through validation testing and product release
- Managing configuration control and requirements changes utilizing formal engineering processes
- Serving as the technical liaison between mechanical, electrical, controls, firmware, software, manufacturing, quality, and product management teams
- Supporting engineering decision-making through data-driven analysis and technical evaluations
- Developing system integration plans for prototype and production CDU platforms
- Coordinating subsystem integration activities and supporting prototype bring-up efforts
- Identifying and resolving hardware, firmware, software, and interface issue
- Leading root cause analysis and corrective action efforts for system-level issues
- Developing System Verification Plans (SVPs) and defining acceptance criteria
- Supporting Engineering Verification Testing (EVT), Design Verification Testing (DVT), Product Validation Testing (PVT), and customer qualification activities
- Reviewing validation results and ensuring products meet all system requirements
- Leading system-level DFMEA activities and participating in PFMEA reviews
- Identifying technical risks and developing mitigation strategies throughout the product development lifecycle
- Supporting customer technical discussions, factory acceptance testing (FAT), product launches, and sustaining engineering activities
Basic (Required) Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
- 5+ years of experience in systems engineering, product development, or multidisciplinary engineering environments

Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Systems Engineering or a related engineering discipline
- Experience developing liquid cooling systems for AI, HPC, hyperscale, or enterprise data center applications
- Experience with Cooling Distribution Units (CDUs), liquid cooling loops, or thermal management systems
- Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies and tools
- Understanding of reliability engineering principles, DFMEA, and PFMEA processes
- Familiarity with IEC, UL, CE, CSA, and other applicable industry standards
- Experience with industrial automation systems, PLC-controlled equipment,
- Experience with systems engineering methodologies, requirements management, and product lifecycle processes
