Full Job Description
We are currently looking for a skilled and driven Body Controls and Integration Engineer to join our Body-Controls Integration Team. This team integrates and validates software for body controls across multiple vehicle programs, covering features such as interior and exterior lighting, cabin closures, storage systems and comfort systems. The perfect candidate will possess a solid foundation in software integration, vehicle integration, and hands-on testing and debugging.
Responsibilities
• Integrate software components into the vehicle software system, supporting bench testing, in-vehicle integration and ensuring compatibility with existing systems.
• Create test plans and perform integration testing of Merge Requests for Body and Lighting features.
• Develop detailed test cases and scripts to validate features in Unit test, Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) test, Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) test, and vehicle test environments.
• Conduct hands-on software testing to ensure the software performs as expected in real-world conditions. This includes executing tests and analyzing results.
• Maintain the Body-Bucks, Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) test assets, and vehicle test assets, keeping them on current software and ready for Merge Request testing and bug triage.
• Triage bugs across programs to speed up resolution.
• Lead root cause analysis of issues. Use a multidisciplinary approach to troubleshoot functional problems within our vehicles by addressing root causes across physical, electrical, and software domains.
• Prioritize and escalate issues based on user impact and program objectives for swift resolution.
• Collaborate closely with other Engineering teams and program partners to align on software defects and priorities, and to keep programs on schedule for each milestone.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or mechanical engineering; Master's degree preferred
• 2+ years of experience working with automotive control systems
• Experience with Requirements Management System
• Experience with Task Management system Eg: JIRA
• Experience with Source Control/Revision Control system. Eg: Git
• Proficiency in CAN/LIN/ETH tools like Vector CANalyzer, CANoe, CANape etc., along with an understanding of embedded hardware & software design
• Demonstrated creativity in design work coupled with hands-on building abilities
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Willingness to travel up to 20% as required.
