Full Job Description
Role Overview
Astera Labs is seeking a Board Supply Chain Senior Manager to lead supply chain strategy and execution for our board products. You will own the end-to-end flow of boards, from component and PCB supply through assembly, test, and delivery, ensuring supply is secure, resilient, and aligned to demand.
This role is critical to scaling purpose-built connectivity solutions as Astera Labs grows its rack-scale AI infrastructure portfolio. You will lead planning and supplier execution, partner with engineering, operations, and quality, and build the processes and metrics that keep our boards shipping reliably in a hyper-growth environment.
Key Responsibilities
Supply Chain Strategy & Execution
- Lead end-to-end supply chain operations for PCBA boards, including component supply, PCB fabrication, assembly, test, and delivery.
- Review inventory, work-in-progress, and finished goods against demand to set build plans and net supply requirements.
- Drive demand and supply planning, material availability, and build schedules to meet customer commitments.
- Monitor output delivery schedules and quantities from contract manufacturers, and drive corrective actions when outputs fall short of plan.
- Monitor supplier delivery schedules and output quantities for components and PCBs, and drive corrective actions when supply falls short of plan.
- Establish scalable processes, systems, and operating cadences that support growth.
- Supplier & Contract Manufacturer Management
- Manage relationships and performance of contract manufacturers, PCB and assembly partners, and component suppliers.
- Lead supplier reviews covering on-time delivery, lead times, capacity, quality, and corrective actions.
- Secure supply for long-lead and constrained components through allocation, alternates, and supplier commitments.
- Risk Management & Team Leadership
- Identify supply constraints, capacity gaps, and schedule risks, then drive mitigation plans and escalate as needed.
- Manage and develop supply chain team members, setting clear goals and priorities.
- Partner with hardware engineering, operations, and quality to align on engineering changes, readiness, and delivery plans.
- Report on supply chain metrics, inventory health, and delivery performance to leadership.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations, Business, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience managing people or teams in supply chain, operations, or manufacturing.
- Experience in PCBA hardware manufacturing, specifically within electronics assembly and contract manufacturing environments.
- Strong working knowledge of material requirements planning, supply-demand planning, inventory management, and supplier management.
- Proven ability to manage supplier performance and resolve supply, quality, and delivery issues.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and hands-on experience with ERP or MRP systems, with strong analytical and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing supply chains for data center, networking, or AI infrastructure products.
- Experience working with global suppliers and contract manufacturers in Asia.
- Experience building planning dashboards and data-driven operating metrics using Microsoft tools.
- Ability to influence cross-functional teams, manage competing priorities, and drive resolution in a high-growth environment.
