Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop blockchain-based applications and smart contracts
Build and maintain decentralized systems using platforms such as Ethereum, Solana, or Hyperledger Besu
Write secure, efficient smart contracts using languages like Solidity or Rust
Conduct code reviews, testing, debugging, and security audits
Optimize blockchain performance, scalability, and transaction efficiency
Integrate blockchain solutions with APIs, databases, and cloud services
Mentor junior developers and contribute to technical leadership
Stay updated on emerging blockchain technologies, protocols, and best practices
Required Skills & QualificationsStrong experience in blockchain development and distributed systems
Proficiency in Solidity, Rust, JavaScript/TypeScript, Go, or Python
Deep understanding of smart contracts, cryptography, consensus mechanisms, and Web3 technologies
Experience with frameworks/tools such as Hardhat, Truffle, and Foundry
Familiarity with DeFi, NFTs, wallets, and token standards (ERC-20, ERC-721)
Knowledge of security best practices and vulnerability mitigation
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, cloud platforms, and agile development
Preferred QualificationsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
Contributions to open-source blockchain projects
Relevant blockchain certifications or published projects

The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position in Virginia is $121,564 USD Annual to $225,762 Annual USD. Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
