The Liquid Credit Strategies Team (“LCS”) manages $123B in AUM across diversified portfolios of fixed income investments, primarily consisting of senior secured floating rate bank loans, high yield and investment grade corporate bonds, and debt and equity tranches of Collateralized Loan Obligations ("CLOs"). The group manages and sub-advises a wide array of funds and accounts in the US and Europe, including CLOs, separately managed accounts, commingled funds, and registered funds.
Job Description & Responsibilities
Blackstone Credit & Insurance is seeking a Senior Associate to support the Restructuring team within the Liquid Credit business. This team is responsible for leading liability management and balance sheet restructuring initiatives across Blackstone’s Liquid Credit platform.
Responsibilities will include:
Analyzing liability management and balance sheet alternatives
Underwriting and structuring new-money investments related to restructuring transactions
Interfacing with restructuring advisors and other lenders
Conducting financial analysis, due diligence, industry research, and competitive analysis
Analyzing legal documentation and drafting memoranda for internal and external use
Qualifications
Blackstone seeks to hire individuals who are highly motivated, have sound judgement and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors. In addition to these skills, the successful candidate should meet the following qualifications:
2+ years of relevant work experience in restructuring, distressed investing, or special situations
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field
Exceptional financial modeling and analytical skills
Deep understanding of credit markets, particularly restructuring and leveraged finance
Strong initiative and motivation, with a demonstrated ability to develop creative solutions to complex problems
Proven track record of collaborating effectively in fast-paced investment environments, with excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills

Expected annual base salary range:
$140,000 - $170,000Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.
Additional compensation and benefits offered in connection with the roleconsist of comprehensive health benefits, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, and FSA benefits; paid time off; life insurance; 401(k) plan; and discretionary bonuses. Certain employees may also be eligible for equity and other incentive compensation at Blackstone’s sole discretion.
