Bilingual Sales Manager
What You'll Be Doing
Sales & Business Development
• Identify, engage, and convert prospective brokers into long-term customers
• Develop and execute sales strategies that support revenue targets
• Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and support accurate forecasting
• Build relationships with brokers, customers, partners, and industry stakeholders
• Lead or support product demos, broker meetings, and sales conversations
• Represent Rival at industry events, conferences, trade shows, and webinars
Team Leadership
• Lead, mentor, and support members of the sales team
• Set clear sales goals, KPIs, and expectations
• Coach the team on prospecting, pipeline management, relationship building, and closing
• Support performance conversations with clarity and accountability
• Help build repeatable sales processes as the team grows
Market Presence & Collaboration
• Stay close to market needs and share broker feedback with internal teams
• Collaborate with Marketing on campaigns, messaging, events, and sales materials
• Partner with Client Services to support smooth handoffs, onboarding, and long-term customer success
• Work with Product and leadership to surface trends, opportunities, and client needs
• Act as a brand ambassador who can speak clearly to Rival's value, vision, and culture
Process & Operations
• Track outreach, opportunities, and sales activity in the CRM with discipline and accuracy
• Support improvements to sales workflows, reporting, and team accountability
• Help strengthen how Rival measures sales performance and customer growth
• Continuously build knowledge of Rival's products, the broker market, and the insurance technology landscape
What You'll Bring
• Bilingual fluency in French and English is required
• Property and casualty insurance experience is required
• 5+ years of sales experience, ideally in insurance, insurtech, broker technology, or a related B2B environment
• 2+ years of experience leading, coaching, or mentoring sales professionals
• Strong understanding of the Canadian insurance broker market
• Experience selling to or working with brokers, brokerages, MGAs, or insurance partners
• A proven ability to build relationships, manage a pipeline, and close new business
• Clear, confident communication skills and strong presentation ability
• Self-starter energy - you know how to manage your time, follow through, and stay focused remotely
• Comfort using CRM tools (Hubspot preferred), Microsoft Office,and modern sales tools
• A practical, solutions-focused mindset and a willingness to work in a fast-moving environment
