Doctoral degree in Podiatric Medicine from an Accredited School
Current License as a Podiatrist in California
Minimum of three years professional experience preferred
Proficient with computers and experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, and EMR systems
Knowledge of medical care legal and ethical standards
Ability to assess, diagnose, and treat foot-related disorders
Responsibilities
Examine patients' legs and feet to diagnose conditions
Treat disorders related to bones, muscles, and joints in the feet and ankles
Manage wound care for patients
Diagnose diseases and deformities using various medical evaluations
Prescribe appropriate treatments including medications and surgeries
Educate patients on preventive foot and ankle care

Description
Bay Area Foot Care is looking for a bilingual Spanish-speaking podiatrist to join our team. Under the direction of the CMO, the Podiatrist provides routine and referral podiatric services to patients.
Examine patients' legs and feet to diagnose diseases
Treat bone, muscle, and joint disorders affecting the feet and ankles
Perform Wound Care management
Diagnose diseases and deformities of the foot and ankle using medical histories, physical examinations, x-rays, and laboratory test results
Prescribes medications, corrective devices, physical therapy, or surgery
Advise patients about treatments and foot and ankle care techniques necessary for prevention of future problems
Provide education/consultation to patients, family, and health care team
Provide health promotion and preventive medicine
Maintain appropriate medical records on assigned patients
Requirements
Ability to observe, assess and record symptoms, reactions, and progress
Knowledge of legal and ethical standards for the delivery of medical care
Knowledge of the information and techniques needed to diagnose and treat human injuries, diseases, and deformities
Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
Excellent verbal and written communication skills that allow effective working relationships with a diverse patient, colleague, and vendor population
Fluent in Spanish

Doctoral degree in Podiatric Medicine from an Accredited School of Podiatry
Completion of an accredited podiatric residency program
