ResponsibilitiesWe are searching for a Senior Salesperson to join Bernstein's Institutional Sales team in Chicago. This is a unique opportunity to have significant impact on a small team in an important region. The ideal candidate will have a thorough comprehension of our investment research and Analyst recommendations to build credibility and add value to our client's investment process. This requires a significant amount of study, a keen understanding of market context and the ability to interpret our research for our clients. Clients expect salespeople who can form an intellectual bridge between our research and the client's mandate. This salesperson will cover a large number of diverse accounts to maximize the impact of Bernstein's world-class research products.As a Senior Salesperson, you will:• Synthetize significant inputs including: investor sentiment, positioning, Bernstein research calls and products, sector news and events to communicate impactfully with clients and internal stakeholders• Frame research and products to help identify opportunities for the Bernstein team to add value to investors• Work with the Investor Access team to develop and organize relevant marketing opportunities• Salespeople should be comfortable making numerous calls a year many of which will focus on the commerciality of our client relationships• Must have strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal) and be detail oriented• Be responsible for establishing commercial terms with clientsThe role is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and includes a competitive benefits package including 401(k) plan with company match, Medical/Dental/Vision, and other benefits for fertility, wellness, student loans and commuters. Actual base salary offer will vary based on skills and experience.Profile requiredBasic QualificationsOur Senior Salespeople typically possess:• Excellent written and verbal communication skills• Demonstrated proficiency in presenting and debating a point under pressure• Proven track record of entrepreneurialism• Strong organizational skills including using Excel to track data and the ability to organize a call sheet in a high-volume environment• Relentless intellectual curiosity and a drive to excel at the highest level• Proven understanding of global equity markets, company financials, asset allocation and strategy• Outstanding interpersonal and relationship-building skills and client service orientation• Commercial skills to market and monetize research contentPreferred Qualifications• Bachelor's degree in finance or related field• 5+ years of professional financial-services sales experience
