Job Description Summary:
The Benefits Manager is a hands-on leader responsible for the day-to-day administration, execution, compliance, and continuous improvement of See's employee benefits programs. This role serves as the primary point of contact for benefit operations, employee support, vendor administration, and HRIS-related benefits processes.

In addition to benefits administration, this position supports compensation initiatives including market pricing, salary structure administration, pay benchmarking, and compensation analysis. The ideal candidate combines strong operational expertise with analytical capabilities and a passion for delivering an exceptional employee experience.

The pay range for this position is expected to be $125,000- $135,000k annually; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Job Description:

Position Responsibilities:

Benefits Administration & Employee Experience

  • Manage the day-to-day administration of all health, welfare, retirement, wellness, and voluntary benefit programs.


  • Serve as the primary escalation point for employee benefits inquiries and issue resolution.


  • Ensure accurate processing of enrollments, life events, qualifying status changes, and terminations.


  • Manage annual open enrollment planning, testing, communications, and execution.


  • Partner with Payroll to ensure accurate benefit deductions and reconciliation.


  • Monitor eligibility, audits, and carrier file integrations to ensure data integrity.


  • Develop and maintain employee-facing benefits communications and educational materials.


Compensation Support

  • Support compensation administration, including salary structure maintenance and job pricing.


  • Conduct market analyses and benchmark positions using survey data.


  • Partner with HR Business Partners and Talent Acquisition on offer recommendations and internal equity reviews.


  • Assist with annual merit, promotion, and incentive planning processes.


  • Prepare compensation reports, analyses, and recommendations for HR leadership.


  • Maintain job descriptions and support job evaluation activities


Vendor Management & Program Administration

  • Act as day-to-day contact for benefit carriers, brokers, consultants, and third-party administrators.


  • Monitor vendor service-level agreements and performance metrics.


  • Assist with annual renewals and implementation of benefit program changes.


  • Support benefits budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis activities.


Reporting & Process Improvement

  • Develop and maintain benefits and compensation dashboards and reporting.


  • Analyze utilization, participation, and cost trends.


  • Identify operational inefficiencies and implement process improvements.


  • Maintain policies, procedures, process documentation, and internal controls.


Qualifications Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)


  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in benefits administration.


  • Minimum 3 years of compensation experience, including market pricing, salary analysis, and pay administration.


  • Strong knowledge of healthcare, retirement, and wellness programs.


  • Working knowledge of federal and California benefits regulations.


  • Experience administering HRIS and benefits systems (Workday preferred).


  • Strong analytical and Excel skills.


  • Exceptional attention to detail and project management capabilities.


Preferred

  • CEBS, CBP, CCP, PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification.


  • Retail, manufacturing, distribution, or multi-location workforce experience.


  • Experience with compensation surveys and job architecture frameworks.
