Bariatric Program Coordinator (RN or Clinical Dietitian)

Pay Range: $34.97 - $52.46 per hour
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday-Friday

What You'll Do

As the Bariatric Program Coordinator, you'll oversee the daily operations and clinical coordination of the bariatric surgery program while ensuring an exceptional patient experience and compliance with accreditation standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

πŸ’™ Coordinating all aspects of the bariatric surgery program from initial consultation through long-term follow-up

Serving as the primary liaison between patients, bariatric surgeons, providers, dietitians, behavioral health professionals, and interdisciplinary care teams

πŸ“‹ Educating patients and families on bariatric surgery, nutrition, lifestyle changes, pre-operative preparation, and post-operative care

πŸ“… Coordinating appointments, diagnostic testing, referrals, support groups, and educational resources throughout the patient's bariatric journey

πŸ“Š Monitoring program outcomes, quality metrics, and accreditation requirements to ensure compliance with MBSAQIP and other regulatory standards

Collaborating with physicians and leadership to improve patient outcomes, program growth, and operational excellence

Maintaining accurate documentation and patient records within the electronic medical record (EMR)

What We're Looking For
Education & Licensure
β€’ Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing OR an ACEND-accredited Nutrition and Dietetics program required
β€’ Current Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) License OR Illinois Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist (LDN) required
β€’ Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential required for Dietitian applicants
Certifications
β€’ Current BLS Certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross) required
β€’ ACLS Certification preferred
Experience
β€’ Minimum of three (3) years of clinical experience required
β€’ Previous experience in bariatric services, surgery, nutrition, weight management, care coordination, or case management preferred
β€’ Knowledge of MBSAQIP standards, patient education, and multidisciplinary care coordination preferred
β€’ Strong organizational, communication, leadership, and patient education skills
β€’ Passion for improving patient outcomes through compassionate, evidence-based care
