Full Job Description
You Are:
A strategy consulting professional with significant experience setting growth and transformation agendas within the Banking Industry. Your expertise includes working with management teams and senior leadership to advise clients on strategies to transform their business operations, client experience, product propositions, and business models so they can achieve their strategic, financial, and operational goals. You bring an understanding of the commercial banking landscape, including areas such as business banking, corporate and middle-market banking, lending, deposits, treasury management, payments, relationship management, client segmentation, pricing, risk, and digital transformation.

As a manager, you're a natural at building and bringing out the best in teams. You thrive in solving complex problems, thanks to your strong analytical skills and structured approach to complex problems. You have excellent communication and people skills along with a strong desire to work in a fast-paced environment.

The Work:

  • Lead delivery of commercial banking strategy engagements, covering areas such as growth strategy, operating model design, client experience, pricing, and digital transformation, with a clear focus on practical, executable outcomes


  • Lead teams to deliver world-class business, operations, and technology strategy solutions that meet the needs of banking clients, including commercial banking growth, operating model, client experience, product, pricing, and digital transformation initiatives


  • Build relationships with senior leaders at client organizations and partner with them to create strategic solutions that sustain Accenture's profile as a long-term trusted advisor and partner


  • Advise clients on commercial banking strategy topics such as market growth, client segmentation, relationship management effectiveness, lending and deposit strategy, treasury management, payments, channel strategy, cost transformation, and modernization of core business capabilities


  • Integrate AI tools into engagement delivery and advise clients on where AI can unlock value across commercial banking operations, client coverage, and back-office processes


  • Provide overall guidance on quantitative analysis and research to generate recommendations, insights, and outcomes, including analysis of client profitability, portfolio performance, operating efficiency, market opportunities, and competitive positioning


  • Contribute to Accenture's Banking practice through thought leadership, client-facing content, and participation in internal and external industry forums


  • Mentor junior members of the Strategy team


  • Travel may be required based on client demand. Accenture promotes a client-centric, flexible work environment


Here's What You Need:

  • English is required for this position as this role will regularly interact with stakeholders across Canada, US and other countries across our Global footprint where English is the common language. Due to the significant high volume of interactions with these English-speaking stakeholders, which is inherent to this position, it is not possible to reorganize the company's activities to avoid this requirement.


  • Minimum 5 years of Strategy consulting experience from a consulting firm, or internal Strategy equivalent


  • Minimum 4 years of experience working with Banking, Capital Markets, and Payment institutions at the intersection of Business and Technology, with relevant exposure to Commercial Banking topics such as operating models, digital disruption, lending, treasury management, payments, relationship management, and client experience transformation


  • Minimum 3 years of experience delivering analytics or digital technology projects for commercial banking or financial services clients


  • Minimum 4 years of experience leading large-scale transformation programs, including at least one in banking or financial services


  • Minimum 4 years of experience managing consulting or project teams


  • Bachelor's degree


Bonus Points if:

  • You have an MBA or equivalent graduate degree from a top business school


  • You have direct experience advising commercial banking clients on growth strategy, operating model transformation, digital banking, treasury management, lending, payments, or client coverage strategy


  • You have established relationships with senior banking or corporate executives


  • You have taken a strategy from design through implementation with a client


  • You are familiar with how commercial banking channels, platforms, partnerships, and client expectations are changing


  • You have presented recommendations and solutions to senior leaders or C-suite clients
