Position Summary:
The AVP of Total Rewards isresponsible for providing the analysis, insights, reporting, and operationalsupport needed to inform compensation, benefits, payroll, and workforceplanning decisions. This role serves as a key partner to Human Resources,Finance, and business leaders by maintaining compensation programs, supportingbenefits strategy, monitoring market trends, administering payroll-relatedprocesses, and delivering actionable workforce analytics. The position plays acritical role in developing and maintaining the organization's total rewardsphilosophy and ensuring programs remain competitive, compliant, and aligned withbusiness objectives.
Role Responsibilities:
Compensation Strategy, Budget Planning & WorkforceAnalytics
Partner with the Head of HR and HR Business Partners to support annual compensation planning, salary review cycles, and incentive compensation processes.
Develop and maintain compensation frameworks, guidelines, and the company's total rewards and compensation philosophy.
Conduct market benchmarking and compensation analysis to ensure pay practices remain competitive and aligned with organizational objectives.
Research and monitor compensation and benefits market trends, providing recommendations and insights to HR leadership.
Prepare compensation modeling, scenario planning, and cost analyses to support compensation and workforce-related decision making.
Manage compensation budget tracking, including actual-to-budget reporting, acquisition versus maintenance analyses, and ongoing workforce cost forecasting.
Support year-end incentive and bonus accrual planning, including liquidity forecasting and payout analysis.
Maintain compensation data integrity and reporting to support compensation decisions and workforce planning activities.
Produce quarterly workforce metrics, turnover analyses, and headcount reports for HR and Finance leadership.
Payroll Administration & Support
Provide oversight and support for payroll operations, working closely with payroll vendors, Finance, and HR stakeholders.
Ensure payroll-related data changes, compensation adjustments, and employee transactions are accurately reflected in payroll systems.
Partner with Finance on payroll reconciliations, reporting, and related analyses.
Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes, controls, and reporting accuracy.
Benefits Analysis & Total Rewards Programs
Manage benefits-related reporting, cost analysis, and financial tracking to support informed benefit program decisions.
Partner with HR leadership, Finance, and external benefits brokers to evaluate plan performance, cost trends, and utilization patterns.
Analyze benefit plan competitiveness and provide market-based recommendations to support benefit strategy discussions.
Identify opportunities for cost optimization while maintaining a competitive and employee-focused benefits offering.
Equity Compensation Administration
Maintain documentation, process controls, and records related to the organization's equity incentive programs.
Support equity planning activities, including accruals, reporting, and shareholder tracking.
Prepare equity compensation analyses and reporting to support audits, financial reporting, and external disclosure requirements.
Serve as a liaison between HR, Finance, Legal, and external partners regarding equity compensation administration.
Compliance, Audits & Governance
Manage and coordinate annual audits related to workers' compensation, retirement plans, equity programs, and other total rewards initiatives.
Prepare schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation for internal and external audit requirements.
Ensure timely completion of required government reporting and compliance filings, including ACA, EEO-1, Form 1095-C, and other regulatory requirements.
Complete quarterly and annual federal, state, and industry surveys.
Maintain compensation, benefits, payroll, and workforce reporting processes that support compliance and governance requirements.
Monitor changes in compensation, benefits, and employment-related regulations and provide recommendations to HR leadership regarding potential impacts.
Ensure compensation program complies with applicable federal, state, and local regulations, include FLSA, Equal pay, and pay transparency laws.
Basic Qualifications:
8 + years of HR experience specifically in compensation and benefits
Strong analytical and financial acumen with the ability to translate complex workforce and compensation data into actionable insights.
Demonstrated expertise in compensation analysis, benefits administration, payroll support, workforce planning, and reporting.
Strong project management and organizational skills with attention to detail and process discipline.
Ability to balance strategic analysis with hands-on operational execution in a lean HR environment.
Required Education /Certifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field
CCP or CEBS certifications preferred but not required

Basesalary/hourly rate range for this position in Connecticut is between $140,000and $180,000 Please note that specific compensation decisions are based upon avariety of job-relatedfactors as permitted by law, including geographic location, credentials,skills, education, training, and experience.
Base salaryis just one component of Wilton Re's total compensation package for employees.Additional compensation includes annual performance-based bonus, 401K withemployer contribution, and profit-sharing program. Employee may also beeligible for long-term incentives. All incentives and benefits are subject tothe applicable plan terms.
