The Pay Scale is $199,804.80 to $297,539.20

Position Summary
The Assistant Vice President- Facility Management & Operational Support Services (AVP-FM & OSS), Office of Project Development & Construction (OPDC) Services provides regional executive leadership for the Environment of Care, with accountability for safe, reliable, and high performing facilities and support services that enable exceptional patient, caregiver, and physician experiences. The AVP leads assigned services including:
• Office of Project Delivery and Construction (OPDC)
• Infrastructure Capital Planning and Project Execution
• Facility Quality and Construction Standards (CoE)

As a senior leader, the AVP translates MultiCare's mission, values, and strategic priorities into executable operational plans. The role requires leading through change by setting clear direction, aligning stakeholders, and holding teams accountable for delivering sustainable results that balance operational excellence, safety, and fiscal responsibility.

In support of MultiCare Health System's growth strategy, the AVP is responsible for due diligence, integration, and stabilization of their respective FM & OSS services across new and evolving geographies. In collaboration with enterprise and regional leadership, the AVP prioritizes, plans, and delivers real estate, construction, and infrastructure initiatives while removing barriers and simplifying execution to achieve system wide alignment and long term value.

Essential Functions
• Executive leader accountable for enterprise and regional Facility Management & Operational Support Services, delivering safe, reliable, and high-quality facilities that support exceptional patient and caregiver experiences.
• Drives strategic, operational, and financial performance, translating enterprise priorities into clear execution plans, measurable outcomes, and sustainable results.
• Leads infrastructure capital planning, renewal, and construction portfolios, overseeing governance, budgeting, and delivery of complex, multi-site programs.
• Ensures continuous regulatory requirements, accreditation, and Joint Commission readiness, with full accountability for compliance and corrective action management.
• Serves as a trusted enterprise partner and integrator, collaborating with clinical leaders and system stakeholders to align priorities, resolve trade-offs, and accelerate decision-making.
• Oversees vendor strategy and contract governance, optimizing performance, cost, and risk across outsourced and in-house services.
• Leads operating model transformation and growth initiatives, including service standardization, integration of new sites or markets, and scalability across geographies.
• Leverages technology, data, and analytics to improve transparency, inform decisions, and drive continuous improvement.
• Builds and mentors high-performing leadership teams, fostering accountability, succession readiness, and effectiveness within a matrixed organization.

Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, Business Administration, Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field; master's degree (MBA, MHA, or equivalent) strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 12-15 years of progressive leadership experience in facilities management, operations, engineering, or construction within a complex healthcare or similarly regulated environment, including significant executive-level accountability.
• Demonstrated expertise in regulatory compliance, including The Joint Commission and Environment of Care standards, with direct responsibility for survey readiness and corrective action management.
• Proven experience leading capital planning, infrastructure investment, and large-scale construction or renewal programs, including governance, financial stewardship, and delivery of complex, multi-site initiatives.
• Strong track record in enterprise change leadership, including operating model transformation, service standardization, and integration activities in support of organizational growth or mergers.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing, multidisciplinary teams, build succession pipelines, and operate effectively within matrixed organizational structures.
• Advanced proficiency in financial management, vendor partnerships, and contract negotiation, with accountability for budgets, long-term planning, and performance outcomes.
