Position Overview:CMTA, a Legence company, is seeking an
AV Project Engineer who will be responsible for developing audiovisual (AV) design requirements on various projects. This is a hands on role that will work with a team of engineers to design energy efficient buildings for various clients and will be involved in all phases of the project. Key Responsibilities:- Ability to develop audiovisual design requirements by meeting with and discussing clients' requirements while working with the internal design team.
- Design and coordinate with architectural and engineering disciplines of audio/video systems for, but not limited to, boardrooms, collaboration rooms, huddle spaces, town hall venues, conference, and multipurpose rooms.
- Develop 2D and 3D drawings for architectural layouts of AV equipment and system schematic diagrams.
- Organize and lead coordination meetings and take detailed meeting minutes.
Desired Skills and Experience:- Bachelor's in Engineering or related discipline; CTS certification is a plus.
- 2+ years of experience in AV designing, planning, and project management.
- Working knowledge of key audio, video, and audiovisual products from major manufacturers.
- Working knowledge of computer networks as they pertain to both IP based audio and video signal transport and UC (Unified Communication) based video/audio conferencing.
- Expertise with sound systems, including microphone, and speaker requirements, and their placement and integration in acoustic environments.
- AutoCAD and REVIT proficiency.
- AVIXA CTS/CTS-D and manufacturer sponsored certifications are a plus.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Project expected.
Salary Range: $80,000 - $100,000. This role is also eligible for an annual performance-based bonus. Bonus eligibility and payout are determined by role, individual performance, and company performance, and are not guaranteed.
