Automotive Desk & Finance Manager - Alfa Romeo of San Jose

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Automotive Desk & Finance Manager to oversee deal structure, financing, lender relationships, and regulatory compliance. This individual will work closely with the sales team to desk deals, secure competitive financing, maximize front- and back-end profitability, and ensure every transaction is completed accurately and efficiently.

The ideal candidate understands both the numbers and the customer experience, balancing profitability with long-term customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
  • Structure and desk retail, lease, cash, and outside-financed transactions.
  • Present financing, warranty, GAP, maintenance, and protection products in a professional, customer-focused manner.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with banks, credit unions, and lending partners to secure competitive approvals.
  • Ensure every deal complies with all federal, state, and dealership policies, including DMV and lender documentation requirements.
  • Review deals for accuracy before funding and work closely with accounting to ensure timely funding.
  • Partner with the sales team to maximize vehicle gross while maintaining high customer satisfaction.
  • Train and mentor sales consultants on deal structure, financing opportunities, and product knowledge.
  • Maintain lender programs, menu presentation standards, and finance product penetration goals.
  • Stay current on manufacturer incentives, lender guidelines, compliance regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Help create an efficient, positive, and customer-first buying experience from negotiation through delivery.
Qualifications
Required

  • Experience selling finance and insurance products with a consistent track record of performance.
