Automation Engineer, Vancouver, BC - Calgary, AB - Edmonton, AB or Lethbridge, AB
Responsibilities and Duties:
The candidate will play a key role in project management by ensuring planning, cost and schedule control, as well as the design, programming, and commissioning of automated systems
Define customer needs
Design automated systems and select equipment (controls, instrumentation, motor controls, control panel design, etc.)
Participate in system testing and commissioning
Manage factory automation projects: planning, supervision, change control, and reporting on budget, schedule, and resources, manufacturers, and contractors
Prepare specifications, plans, and estimates
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary project team
Follow up with equipment suppliers
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in automated production engineering (APE), electrical engineering, or equivalent.
