Job Description (General Summary)
The Development Acceleration Team exists to accelerate Intralox's ability to identify, evaluate, and mature new product opportunities. We operate with the mindset of an internal startup, moving quickly from idea to reality through prototyping, experimentation, and customer-driven learning. Our success is measured not by how many projects we complete, but by how quickly and accurately we determine which opportunities deserve future investment.
The Automation Engineer develops the electrical, controls, software, and automation components required to rapidly evaluate new concepts. This individual serves as the team's technical integrator, connecting mechanical systems, software, sensors, controls, and data collection solutions.
The ideal candidate enjoys creating functional solutions quickly, testing assumptions, and building enough capability to evaluate an idea without over-engineering.
The candidate enjoys working with incomplete information, takes action quickly, and understands that prototypes are tools for learning rather than finished products. These designs will help to inform real engineering requirements that downstream teams need to create robust products.
This position is not eligible for work authorization or sponsorship.
