Job SummaryThe FIAR Manager provides leadership and oversight for financial improvement and audit remediation initiatives within a Department of War environment. The Manager directs project execution, manages staff and client relationships, and ensures successful delivery of FIAR program objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage FIAR program activities supporting audit readiness initiatives.
- Oversee project workstreams and ensure deliverables meet quality and schedule requirements.
- Serve as liaison with government leadership, auditors, and stakeholders.
- Provide strategic guidance on internal controls and financial reporting.
- Manage staff assignments, performance, and development.
- Review and approve key deliverables and executive briefings.
- Identify risks and improvement opportunities across FIAR initiatives.
Required QualificationsEducation:- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field.
Experience:- 6+ years supporting FIAR initiatives, federal financial audits, or internal controls.
- Experience supporting Government or DoW clients preferred.
- Demonstrated experience leading teams and managing engagements
Skills- Strong knowledge of federal financial management and audit readiness frameworks.
- Experience managing complex projects and coordinating teams.
- Ability to communicate financial and audit issues to senior leadership.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strong analytical and documentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience working with federal financial systems or ERP environments.
- Professional certification such as CPA, CISA, CGFM, or CDFM.
Status: Contingency - This work is contingent upon award.
Salary Range: $90-$130k per year
