  • Monitor and review work products of Senior Associates, providing performance feedback and coaching notes
  • Identify technical accounting matters early and assess their impact on financial statements, coordinating with specialists as needed
  • Supervise Audit Seniors on engagement teams, facilitating fieldwork and ensuring adherence to work plans
  • Maintain regular client contact to understand business developments affecting audit engagements
  • Facilitate levels-based training and support career development initiatives within the Firm
  • Proactively anticipate and address client concerns, escalating issues as necessary
  • Develop relationships with external Centers of Influence to foster business growth
  • Manage the profitability of audit projects

Position Summary:

As an AuditManager,you will have the opportunity to focus on managing multiple engagement teams and clients. By providing a comprehensive review of audit workpapers and financial statements you will be helping to mentor your team as you keep an eye on the quality, completeness, and accuracy of each engagement. You will helpfacilitateopen communication with staff and clients whileanticipatingand addressing client issues as they arise.

Responsibilities:

  • Providetimely,high qualityclient service that meets or exceeds client expectations including coordinating the auditing of all required financial statements, related disclosures, and other client deliverables

  • Assess risk along with design and communicate audit procedures to engagement teams

  • Understand and utilize KSM's Audit Methodology

  • Manage multiple engagement teams and prepare end-of-engagement evaluations for staff

  • Understand the skillsets and capabilities of Senior Associates andmonitorand review work products that they prepare and report on performance while articulating coaching notes throughout the process

  • Identifytechnical accounting matters early and assess the impact on financial statements; coordinate with firm specialists as needed

  • Supervise Audit Seniors on engagement teams and function as an in-chargefacilitatingfield work by monitoring and reportingregardingproductivity and adherence to work plan schedules on each assignment

  • Maintain contact with clients throughout the year to understand the impact of significant developments in the client's business and assess impact on current year audit engagements

  • Develop others within the Firm through facilitating levels based or industry training, advising on career development orparticipatingin other Firm initiatives

  • Subscribe to and actively read industry publications and share relevant information with clients as considered applicable

  • Anticipate and address client concerns and escalate issues as they arise

  • Understand KSM's lines of businesses, availability of services and where applicable, discuss with client management opportunities to make valuable introductions to others in the firm

  • Develop a strategy toutilizerelationships external to the firm withdifferent typesof Centers of Influence to effectuate business growth
