Full Job Description
Audit Manager, Consumer Lending (Credit Card & Personal Loans) (Hybrid)

In this role, you will focus on conducting operational audits of the Consumer Lending portfolio (specifically Credit Cards and Personal Loans), providing independent and objective assurance over compliance, governance, and risk management frameworks. You will also be responsible for ensuring all audit projects maintain compliance with organizational and professional ethical standards. The Audit Manager will work closely with members of the analytics, compliance, model, data, credit and technology audit teams to support key audit objectives.

Responsibilities:
  • Plan, perform, and lead large, complex audits across the Consumer Lending (Credit Card and Personal Loans) business units.
  • Manage the timely and quality delivery of multiple concurrent tasks, including audits, special assignments, and administrative duties, while working independently across the department to successfully meet deadlines.
  • Supervise and coordinate work assignments among audit team members, providing timely feedback, on-the-job training, and coaching.
  • Execute audit procedures, identify and define issues, perform issue validations to confirm sustainable remediation, and document processes.
  • Assess the relevance of audit findings, potential exposures, materiality, and emerging trends, demonstrating a strong awareness of big-picture business issues.
  • Leverage available data, analytical tools, and emerging AI technologies during the planning, fieldwork, and reporting phases of audit delivery.
  • Effectively communicate audit scope, protocols, risks, and recommendations during kick-offs, status updates, and exit meetings, tailoring your message to the audience.
  • Establish and maintain influential relationships with key business and audit partners.
  • Provide input into the development of the annual audit plan through continuous monitoring and ongoing risk assessments.

Here's what we're looking for in an ideal teammate:
  • You are a critical thinker who provides objective insight: You seek to deeply understand the business and believe objectivity is core to providing assurance on governance and internal controls.
  • You are an agile learner who connects the dots: You quickly absorb complex information about Consumer Lending products and seamlessly connect granular operational details to overarching business strategy and risks.
  • You are highly organized and detail-oriented: You approach complex audits with a meticulous eye for detail, ensuring no control gap is overlooked while keeping large-scale projects structured and on track.
  • You adapt to change and navigate ambiguity with ease: You are intellectually curious, like to test assumptions, and can synthesize disparate pieces of data into cohesive, actionable insights for leadership.
  • You leverage technology to drive results: You believe a rich understanding of data and innovation makes you a better auditor and are eager to utilize data analytics to further your technical expertise.
  • You are a relationship builder: You develop influential partnerships based on shared risk objectives and trust to deliver outstanding business impact.
  • You are a teacher and culture carrier: You lead by example, have a passion for coaching your team, and create an inclusive environment that makes it easy to attract and retain top talent.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or military experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in auditing, compliance, or risk management, or a combination.
  • At least 3 years of experience in leading audit engagements or performing in the role of auditor-in-charge.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Accounting, Master's Degree in Finance, Master's Degree in Economics, or Master of Business Administration.
  • Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or Certified Risk Compliance Manager (CRCM).
  • 6+ years of experience in auditing consumer compliance, banking, or the financial services industry.
  • 1+ years of experience with data analytics tools in support of internal audit.
