Responsibilities

Full Job Description
Position Overview

Reporting to the General Counsel (GC), the Attorney - Program Legal Services will support The Children's Village's campus residential, community-based residential, and family foster care programs to help CV achieve the best possible outcomes for the children and families that it serves. The Attorney - Program Legal Services will also work closely with members of the CV Executive Team, Senior Leadership Team, Quality Improvement Department, and program social workers and caseworkers. The position is full-time and in-person, located on the CV Dobbs Ferry campus, with periodic work at CV's New York City-based locations as well.

Position Qualifications

J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school. Member of the New York State bar in good standing. 2-5 years of practice experience, preferably in the areas of family law, child welfare, and/or not-for-profit organizations. Strong analytical, interpersonal, and writing skills. Ability to serve as a team player in a complex and collegial organization. Ability to work independently, identify issues that need to be resolved, and meet deadlines. Availability to travel to CV locations and other work sites throughout the New York City metropolitan area
