About the Role
The Associate Sales Solution Engineer is responsible for providing technical and industry expertise to the Sales team and customers throughout the pre-sales process. This role collaborates closely with sales solution engineers and cross-functional teams to understand customer needs, support solution demonstrations, and contribute to a seamless and compelling pre-sales experience.

Your Role Responsibilities? Here's What You'll Do.
- Provide assistance to other sales solution engineers on standard customer engagements — participating in customer pre-sales meetings to determine technical requirements and identifying and locating standard demonstration materials to be presented to clients.
- Assist with the presentation of proposed solutions to key customer stakeholders — supporting validation and buy-in for the recommended approach while ensuring the demonstration aligns with the customer's technical needs and business objectives.
- Participate in meetings with global services to ensure effective knowledge transfer — composing internal documentation that fully reflects all activity related to the solution strategy.
- Provide technical responses for Request for Proposals (RFPs) — growing knowledge and staying aware of best practices and market trends to deliver accurate, competitive, and compelling responses.
- Participate in trade shows, conferences, and events — representing Hyland in the marketplace and contributing to the team's collective knowledge through continuous learning and professional development.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, services, and technical teams — supporting a seamless pre-sales process and contributing to a positive customer experience from initial engagement through solution validation.
Role Essentials
- Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Management Information Systems or Computer Science — or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the principal duties of the role.
- Solid collaboration skills applied successfully within a team as well as with other areas — with a demonstrated ability to establish rapport and gain the trust of others, effective at gaining consensus.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and use engaging, informative, and compelling presentation methodologies — with the ability to speak or write with ease, clarity, and impact using a communication style appropriate to the subject and audience.
- Self-directed with the ability to manage projects to completion — with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and up to 10% travel time required.
- Demonstrated passion for technology, emerging trends, and continuous learning — with a particular interest in AI and a natural curiosity that drives exploration, innovation, and problem-solving.

Pay Transparency
The base salary compensation range for this role is $76,775 – $83,814 per year. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for a 30%commission on top of base pay. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors in accordance with applicable laws.
