About the Role
BAM's private investments book is growing fast - deal volume is up over 433% year-over-year. We're looking for one experienced operations professional to own the full lifecycle for our private investments and PIPEs book, sitting within the US Listed Middle Office team. Scope will expand over time into loans and other private types.
Responsibilities
• Collaborate with BAM teams during the lifecycle of private investments - inception, maintenance, corporate actions, and exit
• Fund SPVs, record subscriptions, process capital calls, drawdowns, and distributions
• Handle corporate actions including warrant updates, IPOs, mergers, and secondary sales
• Own trade capture and recordkeeping for all PIPE transactions
• Build and maintain a database of all private investments; work with legal to consolidate all documentation, etc.
• Manage Transfer Agent relationships to ensure documentation is ready ahead of exit
• Train team members to provide backup coverage
Qualifications
• 3+ years in investment operations, middle office, or fund administration
• Exposure to private investments, PIPEs, or alternative assets
• Familiarity with deal documentation and lifecycle workflows
• Ability to work independently and handle complex, non-standard events
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills
