ABOUT THE ROLEThis is a highly visible and influential role within SC Johnson Lifestyle Brands, offering the opportunity to directly shape business decisions across a dynamic and growing portfolio. Based in San Francisco and reporting to the Manager, Demand Planning, the Associate Manager will own and influence the demand forecast for an assigned product portfolio, translating business insights, customer trends, and data into a clear and actionable demand signal.
As a key partner in the Sales & Operations Planning and Execution (S&OP/S&OE) processes, this individual will collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Supply Planning, and other cross-functional partners to challenge assumptions, identify risks and opportunities, and drive alignment around the forecast. The role will also leverage Kinaxis RapidResponse to evaluate forecast quality and ensure demand plans support effective business decisions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Collaborate closely with commercial partners, gathering insights into business trends, media, and promotional plans to inform and challenge the demand forecast across a 24-month horizon.
- Lead demand planning for innovation and product lifecycle changes, gather and refine assumptions for new product launches/transitions/discontinuations to reflect appropriately in the long-range demand plan.
- Own the demand story for the assigned portfolio within the S&OP process, clearly articulating key forecast drivers, changes, risks and opportunities and providing recommendations to enable cross-functional decision making.
- Work with key stakeholders to represent short-term forecast changes within long-range plans, ensuring alignment across planning horizons.
- Evaluate forecast outputs by identifying volatility, risks, and opportunities in partnership with supply planning.
- Support scenario evaluation and trade-off discussions to help partners understand demand ranges and potential impacts.
- Partner with Commercial, Finance and Supply Chain to translate the brand's strategic growth plans into long-range demand assumptions, identifying implications from innovation, distribution, marketing investment, portfolio changes and emerging business trends.
- Champion AI/ML forecasting technology and digital planning tools to drive efficiencies, improve forecast quality, and enable faster, higher-quality decisions.
- Maintain demand planning master data and planning system integrity to support reliable forecasting and reporting.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRING- Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience in Customer Supply Chain, Inventory Management or Demand Planning
- Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship for full-time employment
PREFERRED EXPERIENCES AND SKILLS- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present compelling data-based recommendations and influence cross-functional partners.
- Quantitative and qualitative data analysis skills, including the ability to interpret results and connect root causes to KPI improvement.
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, growth environment, navigating ambiguity and changing assumptions.
- Experience working with advanced planning systems (e.g., Kinaxis RapidResponse).
- End-to-end supply chain knowledge, with the ability to consider downstream implications of demand decisions.
- Demonstrated ability to translate business strategies and commercial inputs into structured, data-supported forecast assumptions and recommendations.
- Expertise working with evolving digital tools and analytics to support planning and decision-making.
JOB REQUIREMENTS- Position is Full-Time, regular business hours, Monday-Friday.
- Office work environment: San Francisco, CA office.
- Remote work available once a week after 90-day onboarding period.
- Domestic relocation is not available for this role.
- Travel: 10%.

The Company's Total Rewards package is at or above industry levels. The expected base salary range for this position is between 114,903.00 USD - 150,810.00 USD. Job related skills, experience, education, and location will be considered in setting actual starting base salary. In addition to your base salary and depending on job level, eligibility, and performance, a total package may include profit sharing, a short-term incentive and/or long-term incentives.
