Full Job Description
As an Associate Engineer, Field Applications, you will be placed in a twelve-to-twenty-four-month developmental rotation program that offers real-world experience supporting ADI's industry-leading technologies across automotive markets. Participants will gain exposure to the broad portfolio of ADI technologies before eventually focusing on high-speed video and sensor data transport while building customer engagement skills, and business acumen. During the program, you will go through a progressive curriculum where you will receive professional development opportunities and mentorship before integrating into the worldwide sales team and deploying to your target market.
A sampling of some of the skills you will develop:
• Understanding and supporting high-speed data and video transport technologies used in automotive camera, display, and radar systems
• Electronic circuits schematic/layout analysis, design, and debug
• Automotive electronics architecture
• Prototype development including hardware and software
• Developing and maintaining professional relationships - both internal and external
• Educating others about ADI's solutions through technical presentations and demonstrations
Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
• Assisting in the evaluation and design of automotive connectivity systems including camera, display, radar, and related embedded processing platforms
• Understanding and communicating customer technical requirements and market trends in emerging automotive technologies
• Training colleagues and customers on ADI's technologies, products, and best practices
• Contributing to internal product development strategy and product definitions
• Serving as trusted technical advisor to customer engineering and management teams
• Cultivating relationships and influence with ADI's engineering, marketing, and sales teams
Qualifications
• BSEE or equivalent required
• Basic understanding of electronic schematics, layout, and components required
• Foundation of software fundamentals required
• Experience debugging hardware and software using basic lab equipment required
• Knowledge and understanding of embedded systems and communication protocols required
• Relocation to Southeastern Michigan at completion of the rotational program required
The ideal candidate will have:
• Familiarity with high-speed serial communication such as Ethernet, MIPI, SerDes, or related interfaces
• Experience with lab measurement and soldering equipment
• Good organizational skills and ability to multi-task and set priorities
• Solid communication skills along with comfort presenting technical topics
• Willingness to travel domestically or internationally (~10% of the time)
• Excellent problem solving, analytical, and debugging skills
• Self-motivation and capability to work autonomously
• Agility and desire for continuous learning
For positions requiring access to technical data, Analog Devices, Inc. may have to obtain export licensing approval from the U.S. Department of Commerce - Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the U.S. Department of State - Directorate of Defense Trade Controls. The expected wage range for a new hire into this position is $82,787 to $113,857.
• Actual wage offered may vary depending on work location, experience, education, training, external market data, internal pay equity, or other bona fide factors.
• This position qualifies for a discretionary performance-based bonus which is based on personal and company factors.
