We're looking for an experienced Associate Director of Maintenance & Facilities to join our Plant Leadership Team and play a critical role in shaping the future of our fast-growing food manufacturing operation. This is more than a maintenance leadership role. WHAT YOU'LL DO

Drive Plant Performance

You'll lead all aspects of maintenance strategy and execution, ensuring our equipment, systems, and facilities operate at peak performance.
  • Champion preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs
  • Improve equipment reliability, uptime, and operational efficiency
  • Lead initiatives to reduce downtime and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)
  • Partner with Operations and Engineering to support current production needs and future growth
  • Leverage maintenance data and analytics to drive informed business decisions

Lead Reliability Excellence

You will be the driving force behind our asset management and reliability strategy.
  • Implement and advance Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM), Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA), and FMEA methodologies
  • Improve key performance metrics including MTBF, MTTR, OEE, and maintenance cost performance
  • Develop long-term asset management and equipment lifecycle strategies
  • Support capital projects, equipment installations, and facility improvements
  • Ensure reliability best practices are built into new equipment and expansion projects

Support Food Safety & Quality Excellence

As a food manufacturer, maintaining the highest standards of quality and food safety is non-negotiable.
  • Ensure maintenance programs support food safety, sanitation, and quality requirements
  • Maintain compliance with GMPs, HACCP principles, quality systems, and regulatory standards
  • Support internal and external audits
  • Promote a workplace culture centered on safety, quality, and operational excellence
  • Other duties as assigned

WHAT YOU'LL BRING WITH YOU

Required Experience
  • 8-12 years of progressive maintenance leadership experience within a manufacturing environment
  • 3-5+ years leading maintenance managers, supervisors, or technical teams
  • Proven success improving asset reliability, reducing downtime, and enhancing plant performance
  • Experience managing maintenance budgets, planning activities, and technical projects
  • Strong experience utilizing CMMS systems, predictive maintenance technologies, and maintenance analytics
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

Highly Preferred: Food Manufacturing Experience

Ideal candidates will have experience with:
  • Food processing and packaging equipment
  • GMPs, HACCP, SQF, and food safety standards
  • High-speed automated production environments
  • Utility systems, refrigeration, and manufacturing infrastructure
  • Regulatory and audit-driven environments
  • Continuous improvement initiatives within food manufacturing operations

Additional Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Maintenance Management, Industrial Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma certification
  • Experience leading capital projects and facility expansions
  • Expertise in RCM, RCFA, FMEA, and predictive maintenance technologies

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND ENVIRONMENT
  • Regularly works in production areas, including cold, wet, humid, and noisy environments.
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, reach, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and use hands to perform job duties.
  • Must be able to safely navigate production areas, including climbing stairs and ladders as needed.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.
  • Must comply with all safety, PPE, food safety, and sanitation requirements.
  • Ability to learn and apply job-related procedures, work independently, communicate effectively with others, and meet established performance expectations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
