About the position:
The High Yield DCM team works closely together with ING’s leverage finance bankers and other product specialists in the global network, advising on capital structures and funding opportunities, and marketing and executing High Yield bond transactions for debut or repeat leveraged corporates and sponsor-owned issuers, projects or event driven situations. The role sits at the intersection of leverage capital markets syndicate and origination.About the department:
Global Capital Markets (“GCM”) is ING’s interface between the broader capital markets investor base and ING’s Wholesale banking clients. GCM aims to credibly and effectively originate, structure and distribute all forms of credit and selected equity to the broader institutional investor base.Responsibilities :
- Closely and continuously follow market trends to identify and determine prevailing market terms and pricing, depth of the market and other factors in underwriting decisions and translate it into relevant market updates to our internal and external stakeholders.
- Liaise with key ING internal stakeholders (e.g. lev fin and sponsor coverage teams, other capital market departments across the globe, overseas DCM Syndicate, ratings advisory, credit research a.o.) to identify capital raising opportunities, structure new deals, enhance internal cooperation and maximize revenue generation and expansion of ING’s US Leveraged Finance platform.
- You take the lead in key bond transaction management activities. Manage deal execution by means of direct involvement in the deal team (e.g. documentation and due diligence, roadshow logistics, bookbuilding and orderbook analysis).
- Actively pitch and advise clients on the status of the market, structures, investor dynamics and execution strategies, in close collaboration with the leveraged loan syndicate desk.
- Produce advisory materials to secure internal approvals to execute the primary sale of high yield bonds. Lead internal syndicate and risk discussions.
- You oversee and review the work of more junior team members and train new joiners and interns.
- Participate on pitches and conversations with clients.
- Develop relationships and maintain active dialogue with peers at other financing institutions as a source of market intelligence.
Qualifications and Competencies
Qualifications / Education:
- Minimum of BA/BS in Business or related field.
- Series 79, 63 licenses
- Prior exposure and track record in the US Capital Markets industry
- Knowledge of corporate finance valuation and accounting concepts
- Knowledge of international credit and rates markets and global economy
Experience / Knowledge:- Minimum 2.5 years of prior GCM, Leveraged Finance or Investment Banking experience
- You have proven client relationship skills as well as extensive product knowledge technical expertise and strong transaction execution skills.
- You possess superior client relationship, marketing presentation and sales skills in addition to deep understanding of products and markets.
- You have strong Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint) and Bloomberg skills.

Salary Range $160,000-$215,000
The salary range listed reflects base salary only. This role is eligible for participation in a discretionary bonus program.
