Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated Associate Attorney to join our Workers' Compensation team. You'll represent insurance carriers, third-party administrators, and self-insured employers before the Workers' Compensation Board, while managing your own caseload and developing litigation strategy.

What You'll Do
  • Attend hearings before the NY Workers' Compensation Board
  • Conduct depositions of IME and treating physicians
  • Draft appeals, rebuttals, and summations
  • Develop negotiation strategies and settle claims
  • Communicate case updates to clients and adjusters
  • Prepare witnesses and strategize for favorable outcomes


What We're Looking For

Required:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the New York State Bar
  • Experience in NY Workers Compensation law
  • 3+ years' experience in a law firm setting
  • Ability to manage cases from start to finish
  • Strong writing, communication, and analytical skills

Preferred:
  • Knowledge of NY Workers' Compensation Law
  • Experience in workers' compensation defense
