About the Role:
Responsible for managing the Company's Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Veeva/VeevaVault applications for field teams, as well as other user groups within the company as needed. Oversees development and implementation of various updates to Neurocrine's CRM platform to improve field team productivity, effectiveness and ensure compliance. Partner with leadership across various departments; Field Sales, Market Access, Medical Affairs, Marketing, Marketing Operations, IT, and other areas to manage and maintain Neurocrine's CRM system.

Your Contributions (include, but are not limited to):
  • Serves as business owner for the field and internal teams regarding Neurocrine's CRM platform and Veeva/VeevaVault pharmaceutical and life sciences industry application and related data
  • Leads development of Neurocrine's VEEVA CRM Policies for all relevant field teams
  • Oversees tactical implementation of all aspects of Veeva Vault CRM modules, such as Veeva Events, Account Management, Suggestions, etc.
  • Partners closely with the field commercial teams, Field Leadership, Marketing, and Marketing Operations to manage the functioning of the CRM system
  • Partners closely with Neurocrine speaker program vendors to support P2P program logistics (enter and closing programs) through VEEVA Events
  • Schedules quarterly meeting planning with cross-functional departments to ensures all aspects of assigned areas are aligned to the needs of the users and the overall corporate direction/strategy/goals
  • Oversees development and implementation of VEEVA CRM initiatives, product sampling, and VEEVA Events through direct report(s)
  • Contributes to the Field Operations/Systems field user team discussions to collect input on current tools/reports and apply feedback to future solutions.
  • Leads all aspects of Veeva architecture and design, data cleanliness/integrity, process building, testing, and deploying new processes
  • Proactively identifies, recommends and executes modifications to optimize Veeva systems, including ensuring that configuration changes in Veeva and related systems adhere to Neurocrine's compliance policy
  • Leads all process improvement initiatives related to CRM functionality, customer data, and reporting
  • Leads implementation of VEEVA's Next Best Action for all relevant field teams
  • Partners with Data Management team to ensure smooth processes between Data Warehouse and downsrteam VEEVA tools
  • Identifies and manages change requests and dashboards/reporting
  • Establishes scripts and coordinates/schedules User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with relevant field users
  • Provide analytics on activity level data in Veeva and related systems, such as speaker programs, calls and adhoc field initiatives reports, and may be required to provide reports or analytics to leadership
  • Establishes and nurtures relationships with key vendors who work on and/or integrates with Veeva or related Veeva systems
  • Oversees all aspects of user security and licenses within the Veeva systems such as profiles, roles, permissions, and sharing rules
  • Proactively identifies and communicates system changes and updates to effected parties in advance of the changes

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Marketing, or related field AND 12+ years of sales operations experience within the biotechnology/pharmaceutical industry with significant portion working in sales incentive compensation. Previous managerial / functional management experience also required. OR
  • Master's Degree or MBA strongly preferred AND 8+ years of experience as noted above
  • Proven experience working within a commercial/sales environment in a Pharmaceutical or Biotech company
  • Strong background in project management
  • Experience leading teams and/or having direct reports
  • Demonstrated experience in identifying business process improvements, developing and executing improvement plan, developing and conducting training using various modes of delivery
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with time sensitive deadlines
  • Experience leading projects effectively with multiple departments/stakeholders in a pharmaceutical company such as, but not limited to, multiple field teams, marketing, marketing operations, field operations, IT, commercial operations, and compliance/legal
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a solid process orientation
  • Strong familiarity with database architecture and back end of commercial systems
  • Extensive knowledge of Veeva/Salesforce.com and related systems (such as Veeva Vault)
  • Demonstrated initiative to identify problems, issues and symptoms within the assigned area of responsibility. Able to apply basic consulting skills, including consultative listening, problem definition, hypothesis generation, data analysis, and translation of solutions to business value
  • Experience managing vendors of biopharma commercial systems and sales force analytics capabilities
  • Strong budget management skills
  • Advanced computer skills (including Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
  • Requires broad understanding of the processes, procedures and systems used to accomplish the team's work and familiarity with the underlying concepts in other disciplines within the function

The annual base salary we reasonably expect to pay is $171,800.00-$235,000.00. Individual pay decisions depend on various factors, such as primary work location, complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus with a target of 30% of the earned base salary and eligibility to participate in our equity based long term incentive program. Benefits offered include a retirement savings plan (with company match), paid vacation, holiday and personal days, paid caregiver/parental and medical leave, and health benefits to include medical, prescription drug, dental and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans.
