Assistant Superintendent. The Assistant Superintendent supports the Superintendent in the day-to-day management of site development construction activities, ensuring work is performed safely, on schedule, and to quality standards. This is a field-based role focused on coordinating subcontractors, tracking daily progress, and enforcing site safety protocols.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - Assist the Superintendent in:
- Planning and directing daily field operations for site development (grading, utilities, paving, erosion control, etc.)
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and field crews on-site
- Conducting daily safety walks and enforce jobsite safety policies and OSHA regulations
- Maintaining daily field reports, photo logs, and material delivery tracking
- Assist with site logistics, including material staging, equipment coordination, and site access
- Support quality control inspections and ensure work conforms to plans and specifications
- Coordinating with surveyors, testing agencies, and inspectors as needed
- Help resolve field-level issues and escalate significant concerns to the Superintendent
QUALIFICATIONS - 3-5 years of experience in site development, civil, or heavy construction
- Working knowledge of grading, underground utilities, and earthwork operations
- Familiarity with reading civil/site plans and specifications
- OSHA 10/30 certification preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and on active construction sites
- High school diploma or equivalent required
SALARY $85,000 to $120,000
